First Team 2009 Summer Conference

Speakers

Each day at the Summer Conference allowed First Team members to hear from a variety of speakers. Each of the speakers "have been there before" and were able to share a wealth of important information – not only about the game of basketball (on and off the court), but also about the game of life. Featured speakers included:

  • Jimmy King, former University of Michigan basketball player, "Fab Five" member and NBA player
  • Devan Ebanks, current University of West Virginia basketball player
  • Damon Stringer, former Ohio State and Cleveland State basketball player
  • Jared Swopshire, current University of Louisville basketball player
  • Tony Brown, NBA Referee, and Tony Greene, NCAA Referee
  • Kwain Bryant, Life Skills facilitator
  • Gary Musselman, Executive Director, Kansas State High School Activities Association
  • Barbara Pinson, Life Skills and Media Training instructor
  • Donna Redfern and Harriet Poe, Etiquette and Life Skills instructors
  • Glenn Terry, NCAA
